Hostel en Arzúa (A Coruña)

Discover the DuermingBeds experience and enjoy your stay in Arzúa

Arzúa, in the province of A Coruña, is considered a Jacobean town due to its strong connection with the Camino de Santiago. It was in the 11th century when Arzúa was consolidated as an urban center thanks to the consolidation of the Camino de Santiago as a pilgrimage route. Furthermore, this region is mentioned in the Calixtinus Codex, since it is in this place where the lime kilns that were used in the construction of the Cathedral of Santiago were located. Just 39km from Santiago de Compostela, Arzúa is traveled year after year by thousands of pilgrims as it is the meeting point for those who have been doing the French Way, the Northern Way and the Primitive Way.

A region full of history and tradition

The town known throughout Galicia for being the land of cheese and honey, is located on stage 31 of the French Way, it could be considered the last big stop before the end of the Camino de Santiago.
